An interview with Lisa's kids about Lisa

Today I sat down with Lisa's older kids, Sophie & Sam, for an interview about their mom! Yes, I totally stole this idea from Melissa, and added my own twist. Kids are so much more honest when it's not their mommy asking the questions, right?

1. What is something mom always says?
Sophie: She loves me!
Sam: Don't

2. What makes mom happy?
Sophie: When I give her hugs and kisses!
Sam: Baby

3. What makes mom sad?
Sophie: When I don't listen.
Sam: ?

4. How does your mom make you laugh?
Sophie: When she says funny things.

5. What was your mom like as a child?
Sophie: I was not there, so I just don't know what.
Sam: I go

6. How old is your mom?
Sophie: I don't know. I just don't know how old she is.

7. How tall is your mom?
Sophie: It's pretty hard for me to know that.

8. What is her favorite thing to do?
Sophie: To play with me.

9. What does your mom do when you're not around?
Sophie: She might like, put the baby to sleep.

10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for?
Sophie: I don't know.

11. What is your mom really good at?
Sophie: Helping me get my stuff down. Whatever I cannot reach.

12. What is your mom not very good at?
Sophie: I don't know.

13. What does your mom do for her job?
Sophie: She works at the house. I don't know what she does.
Sam: Gives me apples.

14. What is your mom's favorite food?
Sophie: All things are her favorite food!
Sam: ketchup

15. What makes you proud of your mom?
Sophie: I don't know.

16. If your mom were on TV, who would she be?
Sophie: Maybe a soccer player.

17. What do you and your mom do together?
Sophie: We um, it's hard to know that. I think we go to the store.
Sam: Play

18. How are you and your mom the same?
Sophie: That's a tricky one. I don't know.
Sam: ?

19. How are you and your mom different?
Sophie: Sometimes we do things that are not the same.
Sam: ?

20. How do you know your mom loves you?
Sophie: I don't know. She tells me she loves me.
Sam: Kisses!

21. Where is your mom's favorite place to go?
Sophie: To the gym.
Sam: McDonalds

I have to admit that I was cracking up at some Sam & Sophie's answers. Especially on the last question! I'm really looking forward to seeing BJ's answers later today (hint hint, Lisa).

OMG! Are you sick of me yet? I am! This National Blog Posting Month is crazy. I'm not even halfway through the month, and I'm really grasping for things to post about. My life is not that interesting, people!!

So today, I'm going to open up it up to y'all. What do you want me to blog about? Do you have any burning questions. I know, there are only 6 of you, and you all already know my whole life story (practically), but surely you want to know something, right?! Something other that how many teeth Mia has, or what a genius BJ is, or how I have alligator hands from all the dishwashing I do.

Me: Did you have a good birthday?
BJ: Yes!
Me: What was your favorite thing about today?
BJ: EVERYTHING!!!
Me: What ONE thing was your favorite?
BJ: Mommy, everything was my favorite. I can't pick one thing. Well, maybe it was having breakfast with my new talking parrot. Yeah, that was my favorite thing.
Me: What do you want to do now that you're 5?
BJ: I want to do what I want to do, which is everything I did when I was 4 and then some other stuff.
Me: (gee, that's as clear as mud!) Wow! That's a pretty good plan.
BJ: Yeah.
Me: What's your favorite color?
BJ: Purple.
Me: What's your favorite number?
BJ: 100
Me: What's your favorite place to eat?
BJ: Vinny's
Me: What your favorite thing to eat at Vinny's?
BJ: Mom, you already know all the answers to these questions! PIZZA!
Me: I know, but I just want you to tell me anyway, because you're 5 now!! What's your favorite food?
BJ: Hamburgers and broccoli
Me: Who's your best friend?
BJ: I have so many! Rebekah McQueen, Luke, Sophie, Anna, Noah, Samantha.
Me: Did you enjoy your special day?
BJ: Yes.
Me: I love you my sweet 5 year old boy.
BJ: I love you my sweet 32 year old mommy.
Me: (and then I spanked him for revealing my true age ;)

Look at that sleepy head. His choice for birthday breakfast? S'mores Poptarts and OJ!

Spending a little quality time with Parrot before leaving for school! Five just happens to be the number of the week at school, so we used his worksheet to document his age!
Taking important birthday phone calls at 7:3o a.m. It looks more like he's negotiating a big deal.
On the way out the door. It was so foggy this morning we couldn't even see the hills. The boy is in bed and the day is done. Well, we do still have his big birthday party on Saturday, so we'll be doing it all again then, just a little bit bigger.

And in case you didn't know, my BFF in the whole wide world, Lisa, is having her baby boy tomorrow!! And tomorrow is my birthday. How wonderfully special and exciting is that?
